Bronc, that looks awesome! How many hours do you think you have into it?
How did you do the cheek riser?
Started out as Boyds blank and Savage 308 FT/R. Made all the hardware myself. These blanks are well worth the $40!

I just finished my second one last night. I get faster each time as I get it figured out. I take a 2"x1" bar stock of alluminum and layout my holes etc for the cheekpiece guide rods, and screw. Then I slice a 3/8 thick piece off the top so I am left with two pieces with three holes each. That way holes are perfectly aligned. Add guide rods and screw to the 3/8" piece after it is milled on down to 1/4" thick and 1/2" wide. This piece goes in the cheek piece
The left over larger block gets milled down to about 1" tall, 1/2" thick, gets a slot milled in the side for the adjuster wheel. Inlet the stock in the mill and epoxy that piece in and then mill sides out for wheel!
same basic way McGee and others make theirs. Looks very similar.
I have about 20 hours in the last one including shaping, making the pieces etc. Had over 35-40 in the first one!
Much different front and stiffer.

Looks good, nice work and lots of patience..
Boyd's needs to make their stock blanks about 3-4 inches longer (most stocks are around 32" in length and their blanks are 32.5") and not cut the top corner off the butt end. That cut on the butt end really makes it a PITA to try to fit a pattern on the blank, and there's no justifiable reason for them to be lopping that corner off like that.
