I haven't tried the Berger yet but I imagine they're similar.

What kind of groups are you getting, barrel etc ??
If you can get your hands on any, try some Hybrid 100V you and your 260AI will likey.

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.
LOL - I went to the local powder store last week and they had only a single 1# jug of pistol powder on the shelf.
Same here, they did have some Trail Boss, so I scooped up a couple pounds, , In case things get even worse, although I was surprised to see how well it works, you won't win any thousand yard matches, but it sure gets the job done.

I'm shooting the Berger 140 gr. LR in my 260 AI.
30", 8.5 twist barrel, long freebore.
48.8 gr. H4831sc, 2980 fps
48.7 gr. RL-22, 3050 fps
OAL 3.055".
Lapua brass
BR-2
I prefer the RL-22. I think it's the easier shooter.

My 260AI with 26" Criterion barrel likes 50.0 gr. H4831sc and 130 Berger VLD. Rem. brass WLRM primed.
My new Redding Delux 3 die set arrived last night....
So far I have anneled Federal 243 brass, resized to 260, uniformed up the primer pockets, deburred the flash hole and fireformed them into 260AI's. I have 50 pieces of brass in the tumbler as we speak. Im not sure where to start as far as loading. I will be shooting the Berger 140 VLD out of a 28 inch McGowen. Powders that I have avail are IMR 4350, 4064, RE19, RE22, IMR 4831 and 4831SC. No idea what to expect for speed. I have read that 2950ish is the sweet spot... man that seems fast to me when all manuals are stating about 2650ish for the standard load...
Thanks guys for any advise on where to start..... what I can expect for speed and general accuracy. Im shooting just under 3/4 of an inch at a 100 right now with the fireform load... which I think is 41.0 grains of 4350 using a Hornandy 140 grain bthp.

When I first start with a new powder I use the top end of the 260 Rem. listings and go from there.
The best performing powders for me so far have been H4831sc and RE22.
47.8gr Norma MRP, Fed 210M, 136gr Lapua Scenar -L, Lapua brass. I've tried the 4831, R22, and R25 out of the 28" barrel. Gun just liked the Norma MRP the best.
Lapua .260 brass, 140 Hornady Match, 44.6g H4350 Fed 210 Match seated just off the lands
Getting just about 1/4 inch in my new 26" McGowen Varmint bbl :) Nice tight chamber, too.
Haven't confirmed yet, but while working up loads I got .251" and another at .258 4 shots each. I now have 50 loaded, am eager to get out again and see how they do.
