100gr Sierra HP with 46gr of Varget is very entertaining, to say the least.

As a matter of fact I did It was 3300 FPS, a full case of Varget bumps it up to 3600 FPS, I chrono anything and everything, did you know a Daisy Red Ryder BB will hit 557 FPS, with a stretched out spring ask me how I know. LOL

That's great V I, I have just ordered one and am waiting to have a play. I can see the Axis is the tinkerers rifle. Am interested in that varget load. That would have to be humming. Let us know how it goes for you V I.

I am definitely wanting to tinker. Im thinking of trying to build an aluminum tube gun around this action. Don't really know if it will be possible untill i get it home and taken apart. Something like the mak or elisio would be pretty cool and not entirely out of my realm.

I know lots of people here disagree with me--but I believe you have to be VERY careful about doctoring up the stock trigger. It is very basic functionally, and in my opinion, given the fact that the safety is a simple all-or-nothing 2 stage and the recoil lug is in a slot in an all-plastic bed in a flexible stock, I believe you are asking for AD trouble if things move even slightly in a simple sear-engagement & trigger spring design.
