Changing the style of DBM's?

Is it possible to change the Axis style mag retainer to a standard DBM retainer? In retainer, I mean the bottom plastic piece that holds the mag in. Not the bottom of the mag.....

If it was that easy, don't you think someone would have figured it out by now?

I don't even know how long they have been putting this style of mag in the non axis guns...... there is little or no info, pics, or threads on this style. And I haven't seen any after market parts for it either. So I have to ask.

Well, I just got my choate tac stock dbm style in the mail. The factory axis style mag and mag retainer fit perfectly. So if the axis style works, then the regular style prob does.

Now all I have to do is find the mag retainer for the regular style so I can get a 10rd mag.
