Hi, new to forum and Savage firearms as well. Need mounts and rings for new rifle. not sure of action size. long or short. Thanks in advance!

Should be a short action if it is in Creedmoor. Lot's of bases and rings to choose from. For short action Savages I really like the Ironsighter on piece base. Also like the Weaver tactical rings. One reason I like the Ironsighter is that they are thick and the front base screw is the right length so that you don't have the front screw touching the threads on the barrel. Also check out some of the sponsors like EGW.

Just put an EGW base on my 112 BVSS. Works great with low rings and 40 mm scope.

Also the front most screw is shorter than the others....no need to take the rail off when swapping barrels. Had to trim the front overhang on the rail also.
