I have not painted a Choate stock but for any other I use the Testors Model Master sprays at the hobby store. The clear coat it with the Model mater flat (lusterless). Model paint does a very good job bonding to plastics and synthetics.

I've used Krylon Camo for a lot of stocks...and I believe they now make a Camo line for plastics...

Krylon for plastics. As with all paint, prep is the key. Sand to 320 and clean with alcohol or fingernail poilsh remover (acetone) and get to it degreased. Finish in clear for gloss, flat for dull.

    Easy, follow label instructions.

As long as it's "Camo", it should be flat- all the Camo paints are.
Toughest part sometimes is finding a matte clear coat- put as many thin coats of this on as you can stand- it helps protect the finish.

You can lay down any color of the fusion as a base. That will stick to the plastic better. Then use any color/ kind of spray paint you want.

I have used the fusion black camo and the krylon black camo and both are very flat. I usually apply some clear coats of krylon clear satin after to help protect it and use some steel wool to further flatten or dull up the clear coat.

Biggest thing when painting anything plastic is to make sure you clean it thoroughly to remove any residual hand oils and more importantly - any residual mold release agent that may be on it as paint will not adhere to either.
