    Benchmark barrel question

Does anyone have any experience with Benchmark barrels? They thread them for Savages too. I am putting a 20 VarTarg together and they make them. Thinking on a 11 twist for it. I have heard that they are well known for rim fire barrels, so thinking that they should be good for center fire barrels as well.

    Re: Benchmark barrel question

I have a Benchmark in 223. I have not gotten to shoot handloads for it yet, but I have shot a .536" 6 shot group with Hornady Match ammo.

PM Hany, he has alot of experience with them.

I have one chambered in 204 and it's as good as any button rifled barrel out there.

Jason, what size groups are you getting out of your 204?

Average is .3-.5 inch groups with 40gr Bergers and Benchmark. And it cleans sooooo nice.

    Re: Benchmark barrel question

I think 358hammer is using them exclusively now on his Strike builds and really like them. Maybe he'll chime in.

I think pretty much everyone is gonna be 6-8 weeks minimum if it is not already made. I called Lothar Walther today and they told me the same thing. Also believe that is what Devin @ SinArms said for his Brux barrels too.

Where are you guys getting the barrels from. Straight from Benchmark? CenterShot rifles? etc.

Rayhill uses the Benchmark barrels. I've got one on order with him along with one of his stockade stocks.
