    Possible Upgrades

I built this in .308 last year and did a few F Comps with it. Thinking about getting a little more serious this year. Does anyone here have a Stevens 200 action in an XLR Chassis? I have a friend who may buy my B&C so I can put those funds towards an XLR.

Or, should I invest a little more in a better optic? Thought about a Sightron or a PST.

Let me know what you guys think? Thanks

What ammo holder is that? And where did you get it? My cousin has a pst and likes it as well as his night force. Thanks

Nice setup. I would think the best money you could spend for FTR would be a better bipod like a sinclair. If you have not done it ...pillar and bed. If you reload perfect your methods.

Good optics, good trigger, and a load that the rifle loves....that should get you where you want to be. You have a fine piece of furniture. What kind of optic is that? Something else I noticed is that it appears that you have used a factory barrel nut to attach a competition recoil lug against the receiver face. If I am right then you may want to spend another $20 or so and get a "square" nut. When I took my last rifle apart you could see wear marks against the recoil lug that were inconsistent across it's face where the nut was actually touching in spots and not in other spots. It was that warped. For the best accuracy solution everything should be as square as possible to the receiver face. Sorry, didn't mean to preach just an observation. And by the way....very, very nice rifle!

That looks like a tac ops cheek piece.
Willing to give back for what the sport has done for me!

It is a Tac Ops cheek pad.

I believe I have found the load for the rifle although I have by no means tried all bullets. I am shooting 178 AMax over 43g Varget. I will try to post a pic of a 100 yd group.

I need to look into the square nut as I do have a competition lug on it.

I have a Rifle Basix trigger in it and am very happy with it.

It is a 6.5x20 Vortex Viper. I will be shooting at 1000 this year and had a little trouble with that scope at 700 last year. So, I think I may upgrade to more magnification and better clarity.

Thanks for any more tips / ideas.

This should read A-Max. This was with 41.5g and it does a little better out further with 43g.
