The guy in the big brown truck came to see me today. He brought me a new E.R. Shaw .338 Federal barrel. What a guy! It's a magnum contour 22" with straight flutes and man is it nice. I screwed it to a M10 left hander that was a .243. It's nothing special to look at right now but it sure does feel good. With the factory stock and Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 scope it bumped my scale at 7.0 lbs. A bit lighter than I expected. I'm thinking about putting it in a Boyd's gray laminate in a few weeks. Can't wait to shoot this thing....and it is suppose to rain tomorrow...go figure.

Very nice. I have been thinking of doing a 338 federal for sometime. Maybe my next ar platform build.
