    New Ejector Pin

Just received new bolt head parts from Savage. The ejector now has a tail on it that fits inside the ejector spring. Am I "late to the party" or is this something new? Have not used the bolt head yet so I don't know if it is mo betta or not.

    Yep, your late!

The "tail" as you call it is a follower to keep the spring straight when compressing-decompressing. You may find it needs to be smoothed up a little so it easily slides inside the coils of the spring, all mine needed it. A few twists in #320 paper usually does it.
