    grabby buttstock

my just purchased savage .223 model 10 precision carbine
has a soft rubber buttstock that sticks to your shoulder and makes finer adjustments difficult.
any suggestions as to a solution.
i've covered the rubber with masking tape as a temporary solution.

Do you have any other savages with the harder rubber pad? I changed the soft pad out between two of my for that reason. If you do try ordering one for the other rifle from savage.

I like the pachmayer (spelling) ? Ones the rounded corners and not as sticky rubber work better for me.
