brasse, what taper barrel is yours shown in the stocky's thumbhole, wondering if a standard sporter barrel would be too small? Guess stocky's got tired of saying no to savage shooters wanting the det/mag. They are nice stocks, found my last one to be kind of short however.

Hey Brasse was your factory front takedown screw long enough? I got my new stock Friday and the rear screw fits fine but I can only get 1 or 2 threads caught on the front and the barrel isn't centered in the barrel channel.

you have to take off the metal rings that are used in the plastic stock. You also have to be VERY carefull not to tighten too much as you can warp the wook stock.

Iff you screw in the stock screws too much you can prevent the bolt from moving.

Well I can't find the metal rings you speak of on my rig. I think I'll wind up sending back or maybe I"ll skim bed it if I can find the time.

Found it and ordered it. Contacted Boyds and they have only been available for three weeks now. Even though they show out of stock, you can still place your order.

Had mine on order for a week. The custom options weren't available when I ordered but all I needed was a recoil pad. It's cheaper by $6 if you order it separately and install it yourself. No biggie. For the featherweight they said it needs the small pad. When I get my order in if it doesn't fit I'll post.
