Pain in the-ass to set up and do a rough finish job.
Anybody use the RCBS TRIM PRO 3 Way Cutter?
Just wondering if it really saves time!

Saves me a lot of time, I have 223 and 308, prepping 200-300 pieces of brass at a time the savings really add up. I use them on the RCBS power trimmer. The two sizes cover >80% of my reloading activity. I also use the RCBS case prep station, but cleaning up after conventional trimming on a 277 or 458 case takes significant time even then.

I got tired of it ripping up every 20th or so 223 case mouth when a chip got caught and I had to stop to flick the chip out with a tooth pick. I gave up on it.
I still use the inside chamfer pilot though and only have to deburr the outside.
Not worth the $ in my opinion.
Wow, I'm a total klutz, and I've done 300 pieces of Greek HXP 3006 in one shot, and 200 pieces of 50 WCC, 50 IMI, and 100 random 223 brass in one shot. The only thing that interrupted anything was brushing off the curled brass. I've done 308 and 300 WM in 50 and 100 piece lots, it saves a lot of time.
Did you guys not read the directions?

I had a 3-way cutter on a Power Trim-Pro. Sold it and bought a Giraud. Never looked back.

Laportecharlie, thanks for the reply.
Do you have a web site URL for the Giuard you purchased?

Yes, I did read the instructions before I installed it. I tried adjusting per the instructions. I then re-read the instructions. I also tried several tweaks. The one that I had was not worth using.Originally Posted by brianinca

the 2 I had were when they first came out. they cut , but left a ragged edge. If I had to camfer them again with a hand tool there was no sense in working the trimmer so hard.
