Savage model 11 .308 need Info

I recently purchased a savage model 11 308 and need more info and a value on it. Ive searched alot on the internet and cant find another one like it as far as the stock. Im wanting to know if this is a stock or aftermarket stock? what year the gun was made? the value of the gun? and any other info i should know about it. this is my first rifle. THe serial number is G8048xx [IMG][/IMG]

Looks like a Boyd's stock. I'll venture a guess and say about 2011 on year.

any ideal on value also is there any changes or upgrades anybody would recommend? i will be mainly using to deer hunt

It looks like the basic short action model 11 rifle with accutrigger. Probably around $400 or so new with a synthetic stock. Those boyds stocks are around $100 as an aftermarket purchase. The only thing I would do if finances permit, is change out the scope, and get to shooting. If you are trying to squeeze the most accuracy out of it, you may want to bed the stock if it is not. That rifle should serve you well, and be a deer thumper!
