Barrel fit to a stock question

I have just ordered my barrel which will taper to 1" at the muzzle. I was going to purchase a VLP laminate stock and was wondering if you think that I will need to open up the channel any? Thanks for any help

Probably will a little as 26" factory varmint barrels are 0.820" at the muzzle.
