safety on pre accutrigger model 12. how does it work

I have a model 12 SS 22-250 pre accutrigger and it seems that you can put the safety in two positions and it will fire. Sometimes it will fire on it's own by just pushing the bolt in. It doesn't look like anyone has messed with the safety

It would seem the safety set screw is backed out too far allowing or causing the sear to not engage properly. This shouldn't be a problem with a factory trigger because they usually have ample spring pressure to ensure the trigger stays in its full foward position. The safety set screw (rear of the trigger) should be screwed in (with the safety on) until it touches the safety bar then backed out slightly to allow for proper function.
