    My New Predator max.

New PREDATOR Max. Not a round through it, (.243) Coated the metal with Duracoat, Shake n' Spray. It's supposed to be Magpul Flat dark Earth, but it seems a tad light. I am happy with it! Thanks for looking!

BSA 4-16 Mil dot scope, and a Burris Fast Fire II for the close ones!
This first pic is the closest to the actual colors.

Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum even though I've been shooting a Savage since 1959. I have Remingtons and Brownings, but for serious shooting I always drag out a Savage or two. This is one.
Older Savage 110 in 30-06. Boyds stock, Tasco target scope.

This is what it will do when I'm up to it

Here is Jazmine in her latest configuration... soon to be changing again, I am sure. She sports a Manners MCS-T right now, but I have a MCS-T3 with the Manners GAP molded in coloring coming soon. She also has the new SWFA 5-20SS scope on top. I love the scope, and I love the stock, but I am always doing other stuff to her. I doubt she will ever be truly complete!!

    Post a few pics.

First up, after moving to Montana and then moving back to Nebraska, I had to build a new reloading bench. This is just the beginning. There is a full frame under it and cross braces added. I still have to add more drawers on the left and the right of the lower main drawer set.

Bedding a stock after drying. I like to use clay and Mother's carnuba car wax.

Fireforming some Armscor brass in a 223 AI that I built from scratch.

Picked up this 110LE in 223 at a gunshow in Montana.

110 action I picked up on this site and a 30/06 McGowen barrel. Scope on this rifle is a Burris law enforcement version. Older scope...probably 20 years. Has BDC circles in varying size to help in identifying range of two legged monsters.

Small group photo of some rifles that lived with me in my hotel room in Montana for 8 months. Top to bottom: 223 AI, 222 Magnum AI (super duece), 223 AI, 223 AI (bvss stock), 110 Savage in 7mm Magnum, 6mm AI built on Stevens action, and 223 AI in B & C Medalist stock.

338 Rum built on a Savage Target action. 32" Rock Creek barrel.

6.5x55 AI built on a single shot Savage 110 long action with Rock Creek barrel.

22/6mm AI built on a Savage LBRP Target action wearing a Leupold VX3.

My younger brother on the right, holding my single shot, long action, 112FV-S in 223 on a prairie dog safari in Montana. Lewis & Clark travelled through this area. Marias River is about a mile behind this spotter/shooter combo.

Like the paint on the stock. Are the skulls airbrushed on? If so who did it?

The stock was dipped by a local shop.... all his information is on my web-site. I would but post it here, but I want to follow the rules. If you like I am on Facebook under Lyndon F Combs. Message me there I will pass along the address. He is really reasonable.... He also did the rifle in the pics below... both are a Reaper pattern..

Here is my Beater, I just finished Parkerizing the Receiver, bolt handle and ring thing on the bolt. The park looks like garbage but I didn’t have an area to sand blast so I used evaporust…not the best but it worked to some extent.

First time posting here. This is the Savage model 12 BJTV 26" in .223. The rifle is topped with a Leupold VX II 4-12x40 AO scope. (very clear optics) First time out to the range with this one today. Best group at 100 yds, 10 shots into 3/4 inch using 69 grain SMK pushed along with 24.7 grains of W748. I was breaking in the barrel at the same time....(cleaning after every shot) so I know the rifle will do better once I "tweak" the load and cleanup the case necks (turn case necks just enough to cut away any thick spots). Any one else have this model. I would love to know what bullet weight and load you settled on...(lightweight bullets 40-52 grain grouped about 1 inch....."I guess the 1-9 rate of twist").....But I see potential for the heavier bullets..........Don in SC

Re: Post a Picture of your Rig(s)

After a 4 week wait on my new boyds to get shipped to New Zealand, it's finally here! I'm pretty happy with it but because I pack this thing around the wilderness I'll be lightening it a bit.

Haven't shot it yet, I'll see how it goes as is but eventually it'll get bedded (once the recoil lug gets here).

It's ok if you disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.
