Wanted to do this one for a while... Savage build 6.5CM barrel and varmint action from Fred at Northland, StockyStocks stock [if a woodchuck could] Waiting on a Go-Gauge and a trigger guard so i can snug up the barrel nut and go poke some holes with her.

Thanks to (LRput) who gave me a good deal on the Stockade stock, jut bolted it on my Savage 110 30-06 converted to 260 Remington. Now I need a paint scheme, oh the dilemma's...

This is my first Savage build, think I am hooked...

Even without paint its a sub MOA rifle...was surprised to get an average of 2935 fps out of a 20" barrel.

Updated photo of finished project...this one is for sale I want to build a 300 win mag using a Manners stock

Great thread! New here but have had a few Savages:

My first gun and its a keeper, MkII-FSS 22LR now wearing a Boyds:

Then picked up a MkII 'Shorty' (fully suppressed barrel, 13" from memory) that was too cheap to say no:

Had some fun with it and then swapped it for a 93G 22wmr:

And then wanted a bit more range so I sold it on and bought a Model 12-VLP in 204:

Which I've just got rid of as it was too heavy and cumbersome for any of the hunting I do, will probably replace it with another Savage soon - looking at a Model 14 American Classic in 223, or maybe Lightweight Hunter in 243. I also have a Ruger Hawkeye in 308 for deer - its not a Savage but hey.

Very Satisfied yet again with my choice in savage, the only thing that's better is a handmade rifle for me. Sweet Rifle Folks!

    My first Lefty and Savage...

I picked this up this past Saturday and put 20 rds throught the next day. 110EL Series H .30-06 lefty. In love with this rifle, I have been looking for a lefthanded rifle for 20 years, I am 35 and it didn't matter until a little later in life. I had to remove the elevator from beneath the rear sight leaf to have it dead on at 80 yds. But it grouped around 3 inches with the Remington Core lokt 150 gr. SP with the open sights. Anyone ever heard of that kinda problem, from here out it will be Ketucky windage on elevation if they are closer (deer that is). Serial number A091667, if anyone can help with DOM.

I really wanted the 20 inch barrel of the Hog Hunter and decided to build my newest baby.

So I cut the recoil lug down a little, and fit it into an Accustock and added the Accurate-mag bottom metal......................

thus the Savage 11-FCP-SR, best of both worlds. Gives me the detachable AICS mags (I'm using metal Ruger scout mags @ $60 each 5 or 10 round), Mounted on top is a Burris 3.5-10x Mil-dot 30mm tube, Nightforce rings (already sitting in the tool box), a Harris bi-pod and an EGW rail. The bottom metal is the same used by Savage for their 10FCP-SR, ran $140 from Accurate mag without magazine.

I got deployed overseas 3 times and the only Armed Forces that are not allowed to consume alcohol are Americans, which I believe a complete bullsh1t! Got my new rifle all set up so I figured I'd share a few pics. The rifle is a model 12 VLP DBM in 223 Rem. with 9 twist barrel. The scope is a Bushnell Elite Tactical 10x40 mounted with low Leupold PRW rings on a Weaver tactical base.
