    Show Your Custom Rifle Pics

I notice that not many threads have pictures of your guns. As proud gun owners and a very visual person myself i would expect to see some more pictures. So come on gals/guys post up your rig, what components are used, load/bullet used and what you normally can expect to shoot with it. Show me some pictures. ;D

As a thread starter: Model 12BTCSS .223rem, Nikon 6.5x20x44, bedded, further lightened Acu-trigger, off of a Cadwell front rest.
Best groups out of 69smk or 75vld Bergers over H335 or Varget. I usually shoot around .5 moa (guessing the gun is much better than Shooter)

Nice rifle - but why the beer? I hate to see guns and alcohol together.

Why? why not? just because the person drinks that doesn't mean he drinks to get sh1t faced. Why Americans are not allowed to do this? I got deployed overseas 3 times and the only Armed Forces that are not allowed to consume alcohol are Americans, which I believe a complete bullsh1t! It's OK to die for serve my country, as long as I'm sober, WTF?!!!. All other military service members drinks alcohol and everything is fine why not Americans? are really that out of control? Rant off...

    Anyway... here's my rig...

and this is how it shoots...

and it groups like this at 100 yards...

Custom Savage 6.5 Creedmoor Straight Contoured Barrel

Mike I retired from the US Army, and I agree with you. As an adult you are entitled to consume whatever beverage you choose. It is wrong to be denied this, but you and me alone wont solve this childish issue...its going to have to come from some top brass. What I would like to know is where you got that great big picatinny rail from? I would like to see more of their products.
Thanks for any info you can provide.
    thanks for your service.

"This rifle is mine...there are many like it but this one is mine"..... I know this isn't earth shattering but I sure do like it so far. Just got it together and will take it to the range this week. Stevens short action, Criterion 26" varmit contour in .308 Winchester, Rifle Basix Sav1 trigger, NSS barrel nut and recoil lug, B & C Medalist Tactical stock, Bushnell, Tactical Elite 10x40. I still want another bolt handle and will have it Duracoated once I make certain that all is well.

Well, I am ashamed to say that my new rig is yet unfired. I have been suffering with a herniated disc and also had knee surgery 3 weeks ago. I will get out there soon.

It is a 10FLP .223(I am left eye dominant) and has a custom stock by me, and Nikon 4-16x50SF scope in a DNZ GameReaper mount. I plan to cut this barrel to 20inches and put a nice target crown on it.

    Gun porn!

I love it. I've found it is a GREAT way to get ideas for your own rig. 56k users have got to just HATE these threads...

ponykilr, that is a gorgeous picture. Is that a painted wooden stock? Also, maybe its just me, but I think you need a tactical bolt handle on that bad boy...but no rush...it sounds like you need some R&R for now (get well soon)!

No worries-the beer was added as a joke to a friend when i sent that pic to him. After i took the pic i liked the colors/contrast of the shot. Besides... looks better than having my mug up there. :P

Lots of drool worthy setups... Keep them coming!

studentx how much does the muzzle brake reduce recoil?

    Oh yeah!

Also, it might be a good idea to post prices, if you're comfortable doing so.

It's a painted plastic stock. He made a post of how he did it. I forget where, but he did a nice job.

I honestly dont know how much it reduced the recoil...but I can say that this is the rig I take P-Dog hunting and usually put 60 rounds down range a day with it. Also, here is a pic of my 12yo shooting it...sometimes pics are worth more than words (light recoil)

    Great thread guys!

OK, "Noobie Boy" here has a question. Student X mentioned that his gun had a Recoil Lug added to it.

I certainly don't want to hi-jack this thread, but what is a recoil lug?

    Keep the pictures coming....!

Thanks to (LRput) who gave me a good deal on the Stockade stock, jut bolted it on my Savage 110 30-06 converted to 260 Remington. Now I need a paint scheme, oh the dilemma's...

This is my first Savage build, think I am hooked...

Even without paint its a sub MOA rifle...was surprised to get an average of 2935 fps out of a 20" barrel.

Updated photo of finished project...this one is for sale I want to build a 300 win mag using a Manners stock
