    257stw?

I'm sure its been discussed but I can't seem to find it. Can the 257stw be fed as a repeater in a savage long action?

Was gonna put together one more quarterbore and wanted something radical. Not really wanting to modify the mag box. Could do a 25/300wm I guess but finding dies and a reamer would be impossible. Didn't savage build a factory rifle in RUM?

Yep they built them in RUM and 375 H&H as well as some others but the guns or actions are hard to find. 25/300WM has been done also....reamers are available from PT&G as well as die work arounds. Redding bushing die with the appropriate bushing will do the job.

Look at wildcats on the WSM case. Same performance, shorter action.

Looking at your wildcat family I see you've got or have had the 257stw, have you built the 25wsm yet?

Hey Keith wouldn't a 257 Weatherby fit the bill, I love mine, even more than my 25-06AI, well maybe not but it's up there.

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.

Reamers are easy! Dies can take a bit.

Where did you see some of my wildcat family at? Is that picture still up somewhere? My wildcat family has grown substantially.

Yes, I built one also. I've got a VERY LARGE stable of wildcats. More than many would believe except for those that have known me for a while........it wouldn't surprise them at all.

EFBell is the first on this forum to do one that I know of and has a article on it here:

It's one that I highly recommend to the quarter bore fan. Better than 257 Weatherby performance.

Been doing a little reading and the wsm should fall right in between my 25-06ai and an stw. Wondering if bolt thrust was ever an issue
