    Which action is this?

Im looking at the savage 12 lrp, and it has what appears to be a target action, but modified to take a magazine... the standard target action has 3 action screws, and this would have two correct?

Also, what benefit would a target action with two action screws have over the varmint action?

the 12LRP should be as you stated, the same as the Target action but with only 2 screws and a DBM. The action should be stiffer as it has the port only rather than the totally open top of the Varmint action. The LRP is going to be a Large Shank and the Varmint action will be the Small Shank. Is one going to be more accurate based on action alone, no. It just depends on what will meet you needs.
