Who makes the shortest 69 gr match 224 bullet ?

Picked up a model 12 fv today IN 22-250. So my question is weather or not I will be able to shot some 69 gr match bullets out of it ? I'm at 5000' elev. in western Co.
Been reading other posts on different sites and some people saying that 69 gr's will stabilize in 1-12 twist barrels. Seems the Nosler 69 gr is the shortest @ .900.
    Can't find a length for the Sierra 69 , Hornady 68 gr.

So any info would be helpful. Already have a T/C Icon in 22-250 and shot 60 gr partitions in it and are good out to 500 yds. Going to stay with that load in the gun. Don't want to burn the barrel up. Not a savage = EZ new barrel swap.

    Thanks for any help.

The Hornady 68gr is .920". In a 1-12, I don't think so...but what the heck guess you could try it. Hornady also makes a 68gr OTM (Open Tip Match) but that one is longer.

I don't understand why you want a short bullet...The longer the better I have found..

Simple - it's a 1:12 twist barrel and won't stabilize the longer coned G7 profile bullets even at 22-250 velocities. This is exactly why Fred Moreo, myself and others really pushed Savage to offer the Model 12 LRPV 22-250 with a 1-9 twist barrel so it would stabilize the high B.C. VLD match bullets.
