Vicarious living through hunting and shooting sports?

Purchased my 10 year old son his first deer rifle which is an Axis in .243 last weekend. Tossed an accutrigger on it and a Simmons 3-9 scope and we got it all sighted and ready for deer season. I am more excited than he is to see him learn to enjoy hunting and shooting in general.

$299 before tax for the stainless Axis, $40 Used Accutrigger, and a scope I had in the closet. Perfectly acceptable deer rifle my oldest will be proud to own even though it's not poko-high tone etc.

I told him shooting is a rare freedom!
