New Here - Loved My Old 110-S - Looking for another

Sure it was ugly. That was part of the appeal. I really liked the feel of the Wundhammer palm swell stock. Being an former Marine, I even liked the matte finish parkerizing. It shot better than I did.

As I recall, I paid $253 for it back around 1982. Anyone know if the stocks are still available from Savage? Perhaps I could put a newer action in .223 in one for another prairie Dog rifle.

Hate to tell ya, but you're going to have a really hard time finding one of those stocks. Definitely won't have any luck with Savage as they don't support anything made or sold prior to 1996 when the current ownership purchased the company.

Not mine, but just so everyone knows what we're talking about here.

You can get a very similar stock in walnut ($119) or laminate ($98) that are finished and a drop in. You can get a very nice checkering done for an additional $50.
Check thier website. Oops, forgot who I was talking about. Boyds website, and yes stangfish, I definatly am slipping

Yes stangfish, Boyds. I edited the thread. And you got it right. I am slipping. It was a combination of late night and old age.
