    flat back 20 moa base


    looking to get a steel 20 moa base, i just ordered the rings yesterday for my build and am now looking for the base, what have you guys used. not really interested in paying more than 100

    EGW has worked well for me.

    i am hoping for steel i think the egw is all aluminum

    Yeah I think the only steel bases EGW makes is for the short action and they're over $100. Warne makes them for the flat rear receiver. That will probably be your best bet. I think the 20 MOA ones are right at $100.

    i found a warne that i will be ordering today, make a good set with warne rings and bases

    Why steel? Yes it's stronger than aluminum, but why bother with the extra expense when the aluminum is already stronger than the part needs to be?

    Why?....Why not? If that's what he wants then so be it. I use both and yes the aluminum is strong enough but some folks (me included) still feel better with steel on the larger cartridges.

    i dont feel like clamping steel to aluminum and do feel that the steel will better suit my build with a heavy long range scope and a magnum cartridge.
