    Contest woes....or not so much....

Well a friend called me Thursday, and needed a partner for a local contest. We started out Saturday morning with them howling all around us but none called. Fast forward and called one in three stands later, but he got wind or something and scooted at 300 yds. The very next stand as we were walking about to sit down, up jumped a bobcat. The friend forgot to load his riddler and clicked at 50 yds. By the time i got on him he was 300 and let one fly. Heard impact and saw him drop. Spent next hour and half looking for him,. It busted our contest, but didn't care at that point. Few more stands made, but no dogs shot.
The rifle was a built by me 243AI shooting 80gr Sierra SBT.

    My buddy holding the cat.
    12 LRP .204, 200 .243 project rifle. (action), 116 SS action, 200 270

Nice cat & darned how they blend into the ground after you drop em.
Smack your pal for having a cold chamber when hunting/calling.
A pal I took out the 1st time didnt even load his gun when I called in 2 and thay sat 60 yards out looking at him trying to load his gun and Im saying shoot shoot shoot then saw him fumbling rounds...so I shot them and he hears it to this day, dont walk from the truck without loading it...hahahah.
