Need rings/mounts help on two rifles!

So this is my first post, hopefully I get some great responses being a newb and all !

I just recently purchased this combo. I do know that on both these rifles I need the round recievers because they are both accutriggers.

Nikon Monarch 3-12 SF BDC, and a Savage Weather Warrior Model 16 7mm-08

I'm now looking for rings. I'm leaning towards the Talley Rings, but I am unsure of a few things.

1. Do I need the low or medium mounts?
2. Do I need the regular or extended front?

Also...I have a

Savage Trophy Hunter XP in 7mm-08 that comes with the Nikon 3-9 BDC

that my daughter uses, and thinking of putting these rings on it as well, and I would need the same questions answered.

Unless you say different I'm assuming you are using the rifles for hunting although that cartridge is used by some in long range shooting and it's a easy cartridge to reload. so for hunting any decent rings will work, the Talley one piece type are good. You also have Leupold, Warne and a host of other brands. If you are thinking of long range then a rail with a MOA pitch and rings will better serve you. Either way you'll have no trouble finding any of them for the Savage round receiver. As far as size, height and if extended is needed...measure.

Yes, they are for hunting, not bench shooting. Thanks for the info.

Probably low for your rifle and certainly for your daughters. The deciding factor on yours will be whether it's a 40 or 50mm objective.

Regular, not extended fronts for both.

It's a 42. I did finally find some info on the Talley site that said they recommend lows for up to 44mm. I appreciate your post though, gives me a little more confidence to hear it from another person as well.
