what extended mag are you looking at? If it is for the browning it will not fit. I know Im a smartypants but you need to give a bit more info. where is the release on your current mag? side or bottom?
I have a 111 in a 7mm Rem Mag, with detachable box mag which sits flush with the bottom of the stock and only hold three rounds, im looking for an extended mag(6-8 rounds) and im not having any luck. Making my own is a last resort but still an option, does anyone know who sell/makes them. Also i noticed that my mag is stamped for 7mm rem mag and .338, ive seen extened mag for the .338 will one of those fit my factory stock?

i can see this isnt going to go anywhere
I think its best that he has only three rounds.

Your problem...or desire is one of the big hangups of Savage rifles. You are basically SOL. The only work around is having a good BDM unit cut in and if your rifle has the bolt release in front of the trigger guard there are only one or two companies that have a solution. Dan at Darkeagle Custom Inc makes an extended mag for short action you could call him and ask about long action in the future.
The easiest workaround is putting your action into a new stock McMillan, Manners or something like the XLR Industries. I'm about to go with an XLR, had the opportunity to spend some time behind one and they are cherry.
CDI or Accurate Mag DBM and AICS 300WM pattern magazines...
More shooting, less typing.
here's some reading about the high cap DBM http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubb...2930883&page=1
Long story short... make your own...
