A&B barrels are contract made by Shaw and potentially other barrel mfg. The name A&B is just a brand name that Midway came up with.

I have a .223 A&B and a .243 ss Shaw both in varmint contours. In my particular case, my A&B has shot way better than the actual Shaw. But that is just me. I like them both just the same and both barrels are for the same rifle. .223/ .243 switchbarrel.
