    1909 pump action 22

I just bought a 1909 pump action 22 for my son but I need the rear sight and riser for the rear sight, it has a rear sight on it with out the riser but not sure if it is the correct sight because it has two mounting holes and only on hole on the Gun. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Well heres what I did looking for parts for my model 1914 savage .22 pump. Looked on e Bay, then on gun broker, then on guns America. Asked question on sites like this and got some good info. Web searched gun parts and found a few gun shops that had parts. Search NUMRICH gun parts, Bob's gun shop, 24 hour campfire. com and Jack's gunshop in either Idaho or Utah. Hope this helps and good searching. Dennis

Very little info or documentation out there for the early Savage rimfires, and finding parts is like looking for needles in a hay stack.

I think your sight has been replaced, they only had one hole, sounds like somebody put a sight off a model 23 or a model 19 on it if it has two holes, but without seeing your sight I'm shooting in the dark, could be a Remington rear sight on there as well.

I have both a model 1909 and a 1912 here nad they use the same rear sights if you can google up a pic of one. They are screwed down with one screw and the second screw is the lifter that raises and lowers the leaf but it doesn't actually go through the sight and into the barrel, it's more of a set screw.
