Savage 93 Fss Scope base help

I purchased a nice rifle for popin varmits beyond 22 long rifle range. I tried to keep it simple with iron sights.....but @ 60 plus yards I need a scope. So What base or bases will fit the standard non heavy barrel configuration of the 93 rifles? What works is the bottom line. I don't care about matching the stainless barrel. Then thoughts about rings for a 40mm scope on a Fss 93.

Do a product search at Midway or Brownells. They have just about every kind of base made.

For rings, I recommend going with high or extra high. Mediums usually don't leave enough clearance for 40mm objectives.
