Are we talking about the new barrels or your old barrel? It's unclear what the problem is. a factory barrel with the tops of the threads flattened isn't unusual.
Just received two barrels from a company that I have never had problems with and I don't think it's the barrel I think it's the action. The take off barrel looks like the threads had been sanded down? Any ideas...

and a new barrel with sharp threads could be a problem.

Correct. The old barrel has the tops of the threads knocked down and the new barrel has sharp threads and I can't get it to screw into the action at all. Its a small shank receiver and a small shank barrel. Should I try and knock down the threads on the new barrel?
That is what the manufacture will probably tell you.

Yep I have had to sand down the threads on one. It has been discussed on the forum before.
Thanks y'all. I chased out the action threads and got the barrel to screw on, tight but it's on and looks great
