Magazine options?

I plan to put a Hog Hunter .308 action and barrel in a Predator Hunter SA accustock (after changing recoil lug) with Savage DBM.

After doing so, what are my Savage magazine options? Will any Savage 308 magazine fit in the Predator Hunter bottom metal? Is Savage bottom metal consistence across platform? Are Savage SA magazines the same external size ie, 4-rd and 10-rd?

Hope this make sense.

HFP = hinged floor plate

As for magazines, Savage only makes one so that's the extent of your choices. There are some aftermarket options where they will extend the stock magazine to accept up to 10 rounds which have been covered here in plenty of other threads - just do a search.

Fred at SSS makes a 9 round extended mag that fits.

Send the rifle to CDiPrecision, they'll install a new bottom metal. You'll then be able to use AICS mags.
