    Accutrigger Fouled by Primer Blowback???

    HISTORY:

Savage 12FCV with 2k or more rounds thru it. (my primary target gun to 750 yds)

Original accutrigger replaced once (after 2-300 rnds) due to shear issue. (Even in a vice, I could not close the bolt soft enought for it not to fall to safe.) Great service, replaced by Savage.

Have not had an issue since. ps I am very aware and capable of using the trigger without tripping the fall to safe. I have the trigger set light, but not to the min.

    STORY:

So on the range tonight 5 rounds in , I experience a primer blowback (pretty good vent with smoke pouring out around the bolt)

It was factory PRVI 69g match ammo, that I have used with good results.

From that point on, I had about 10 trips to safe out of my final 35 rounds.

    QUESTION:

Could I have damaged anything? When I disassemble to clean it there anything that I should look for wrt damage?

Would it be plausable that I am just fouled (not damaged) and a clean will get me back to working order?

    Thanks!!!

Disassemble bolt to inspect for debris from primer , whoch could be causing some firing pin movement issues. See how bad it burned your bolr face , which would not have anything todo with recocking. Check condition of firing pin tip so as to not pierce any primers
