Just picked up 5 of the do-it-yourself tactical bolt handles from SSS. At half the price, I can spend some time polishing. I hope to have them polished out over the weekend. I will be painting a couple of them so they won't have to be exactly perfect............ but almost.

Drove over to their shop, walked in and said I wanted 5 D.I.Y. bolt handles. I live close enough to be able to do this. I could have had them mailed to me if I wanted.

I wouldn't get to hear the latest coyote stories from Fred if I emailed or called in an order. Seeing the stories being told is much more fun than just hearing them.

I will say this, by the time I got to the 5th bolt handle, I did figure out the best way for me to polish them. Very doable. As far as the guy that polishes them at SSS, I think it has to be the country music driving him crazy. When I pulled out five raw ones from the big box he was working out of it was as though the Grinch's heart grew three sizes that day.
