Most of those snap in, Ive never had any luck getting them out without messing them up. I think the last one I changed I got a new one from Brownells to replace it. The Remington diamonds was the same way.
What is the best way to remove the indian head logo that covers the screw on the the grip cap without damaging it? I removed one a long time ago and seem to remember it was glued in. It's been several years and I cant remember how I did it. I want to install a spacer under it and would like to get it right the first time. It's an older stock for a flat back.
Thanks BHJ

I sure could use a few more suggestions on this.

Just took mine off my Stevens and it was glued on with what looked like hot glue hope this helped ;-)
The lack of responses is probably because everybody has had the same experiences I have had.

I popped mine off a few weeks back, used a jewlers screwdriver...no damage....Yup glued in like the rest.
Oh yeah I just used a knife had no damage
I used a soldering iron placed on the cap wait a few seconds and it came off with no damage.
