Not to complaint too much becasue, let's be honest, Savage (IMO) offers the best selection of LH rifles of any major manufacturer, no one else even comes close.

The 12 VLP DBM is offer in 8 caliber/twist options,
It is called sales. They sell less left handed rifles, and to stock all of the same calibers just would not make since. So they take the popular caliber and twist and put it on a low selling rifle. But you in luck, it is not hard to change out a barrel, and you can order what ever you would want from Savage's custom shop.
