Savage repair turnaround time?

Anyone know what the turn around time is for Savage repairs? I sent my rifle in last week after it wouldn't fire after shooting it twice and apparently they still haven't received it. I sent stuff back to amazon the same day and they go it pretty quickly. This is my first rifle and my first season hunting as well but I haven't done much shooting or hunting from the looks of it and am afraid I won't get it back until after my season ends

Well if Savage hasn't received it that's not your problem, it's with UPS or whomever you shipped it through. I'm in Ohio and generally when I ship review guns back via UPS they're received two days after being picked up (i.e. picked up on Monday, arrives at Savage on Wednesday). If you're west of the Mississippi you can probably figure on adding 2-3 days to that, and I know usually when I order something out of California it generally takes 5-6 working days to get here.

As for Savage's turn around time it's usually pretty good compared to most others in the industry, but it really depends on what the problem is and how many others may be in line ahead of you.

I have no idea about Savage's turn-around time, but honestly that doesn't really matter. Unless your hunting season is noticeably later than most in the West (very possible), you're going to either miss your season entirely, or at best you'll be out hunting without having had any practice shooting. Sorry. How about seeing if someone has an extra gun they'd load you for this season?

It's far more a matter of backlog than repair.
