Hey folks, I am Driveshaft and own three Savage bolt action rifles. I shoot one in .22 F- class competition and bought my son a 110 .22 single shot for his first rifle. He learned quite well but is away at college now. I also have a 110 .270 for hunting although I am thinking of selling this one and getting one in .308 for long range shooting. I am new to competition shooting having only shot two matches so far. I shoot sporter class which requires a tapered non-fluted barrel & a scope capable of, or set to no more than 12X. I bought a BSA 4-12X42 scope to replace the 4X32 that came on the GXP. That worked out well once I got the scope stable. Looking to learn a lot here and hopefully help some too, although I don't think I have enough experience to help much. I grew up shooting as a kid but plinking doesn't yeild a set of skills like competition. I have learned a lot in the last few months since joining a range. I love it though!
