    Hart LRT Stocks

I have a CBI bull barreled remage. I really would like to to put an accublocked Hart LRT stock on it but I was wondering how difficult it would be to inlet.

I just finished A Hart LRT and 28" Bull 6BR. I had several hours of work getting everything fitted and bedded but it did turn out just fine. I used my 1" scope ring lapping bar and sandpaper and sneaked up on it. You could make an easy tool from a piece of 3'4" to 1" pipe from Lowes and weld a handle on it. If I had it to do again I would use a 26" Varmit due to the Bull being very front heavy. I like the stock.

I can't speak for the Rem version, but i built a 6BR on a 4.4" Savage Short Action in a Hart LRT. I used a 28" CBI Varmint and I had plenty of room with no fitting in the barrel channel required. Only fitting I had to do was in the trigger area. 1" bar and sandpaper is a good way to go as I am sure the straight bull contour will require a bit of opening of the channel.

Thanks for the ideas, i like the custom lapping bar idea. They sure make a nice looking laminate. I wish i had a single shot action so i could use that beautiful accublock benchrest stock. Someday. Thanks again.

I have a hart lrt on my rem spa Tactical....mine fit wonderfully and the barrel channel is just big enough to fully float.

I like the stock a lot, didn't like how slick it was...so I sanded it and painted it OD with black webbing

Anyone willing to post rifle pictures with the hart LRT stock? Im trying to visualize what my wifes new rifle is going to look like. I will be getting red high gloss hart lrt for her build and the fluted ptg bolt i am using has a red anodized bolt shroud and red anodized tear drop tactical knob. Im trying to put together some personalized touches in my mind for the build, just need some of your hart lrt stocked rifle picutres to help me along. Thanks fellas.

The top two pics are of my 6BR (CF-SA with a 1-8" 28" CBI SS Barrel), and the bottom pic ia of my 30BR (CF-SA, with a 24" 1-10" SS barrel).

    Hope that helps.

Thanks. I need to work more with the 30BR. I took it out a couple of months back, and shot a .495" 3 shot group and then POI changed and went 3" down and 3" to the left. Shot another three there at .565" and then POI changed again. Of course it ended up being a scope failure. I need to get back out, but most of this summer has been so hot and now that its cooler here I have been working on the TO-DO list. Hoping to go out one night this week and play with her some more. I was happy though that it was shooting at 1/2 MOA with the first load I cooked up for it.

Glad I could help. My son actually made the choice, I told him "Orange or Red?" and he chose Orange. I wanted to Hornet Colors actually, but didn't want the 12 week wait since they were out so I let him choose, and I like the Orange and Black. It usually gets some good attention at the ranges.

Boots, thanks for the photos. I am for sure sold on these stocks. I cant wait to get my hands on the accublock model for my project. i really like the dark brown/red/black one you have. Is that the brandy color they advertise?

Yup I do believe that is Brandy. It really is a pretty color scheme. The finish was more of a Satin on the Brandy, and I have wondered how much more the colors would pop if it were redone in a high-gloss.

Boots, where did you find a Hart stock for a Savage? I like the looks of them but everytime I search all I find are Remmy 700 stocks.

Ah ha, They only have them for the 4.40 spacing, that is why it never came up when I did the stock selector. Well guess I just need to get me a newer action.

As a long action owner I feel left out.

Well I just received my first LRT from stockys for my wifes rifle build. She likes red so i got the crimson/grey color. When i get to inletting the barrel channel for the CBI bull and put it all together I will make an honest attempt to upload pictures. Its a 28" bull 6.5x47 remage on a short action with 8-40 nightforce 40 moa base. I think im going to cerakote the whole thing "sniper grey" and leave the PTG fluted chromoly bolt naked. The sniper grey looks like a blasted stainless, the shiny bolt with anodized red shroud and teardrop knob should dilate her pupils if nothing else does. Ill keep you posted and thank you for helping me with my stock decision.

    Thought about that...
I ended up making my own stock instead- but if you're going to install pillars (a "must" IMO), it should be simple enough to enlarge the action holes (and fill with epoxy) to fit the spacing for the older staggered-feed actions. The epoxy filler will be on the bottom of the stock where no one would see it...
