    Allow me to introduce myself

My name's Rich, have no wealth or fame, I am vintage though.
Mostly into rimfires with a couple of centerfires one of which is the model 25 in .223 I just picked up. Wanted something with a little more oomph than my Savage .17.
It's the thumb hole version heavy barrel but not fluted. Is that normal?
It shoots well although the American Eagle Tactical was just terrible. It sports an Intensity 6.5-20x44 in Burris Signature Z rings.
I would like to dismantle the bolt as I've had 4 FTF out of about 150 rounds.
Do you just unscrew the allen head on the back of the bolt?

This was the American Eagle @ 50 yards

Hornady Steel match @ 100 yards

Also took a couple of shots at a chunk of Lexgard RS 1250

    Any way hello
    Rich

Welcome to the forum! Mine shoots about the same with cheap 45gr Winchester. My 25 is also a non-fluted varmint bbl without a bbl nut. and mine also has the thumbhole stock.
    Couple rf's, couple cf's, and 1 12g.

Thanks for the welcome. Does yours shoot like the American Eagle or the Hornady Steel match? Ever have the bolt apart?

Never had the bolt apart. And I have some hornady(not steel match) but never shot it. Don't have any American eagle either. I don't get out shooting much. :/
