Magnum Calibers

While perusing the Savage site looking at available calibers for the Axis / Edge, I didn't see any listed in any magnum calibers. Anyone know why. I mean, aside from the obvious....

WOuld it be unwise to convert a new Edge to a magnum? Has anyone here put together a magnum Axis / Edge?

My curiosity has been aroused. I'd like to know if there's something that won't allow an Axis to be magnumized before I put a 7mm Rem Mag barrel on one.

Yes, quite a few actually. I would not recommend it for novice wanna bees .TOO MANY ISSUES TO EVEN BEGIN TO EXPLAIN. GARY
