    internal magazine box question

I have a model 12fv 22-250 that I will be rechambering in a 6.5 cartridge or something similiar that has a longer coal than the 22-250 mag box, my question is where can I find the longer internal box mag and since its longer is there any modifications I need to do to the stock? Thanks

woody2904, I also have a 12FV. I plan on rebarreling it to a 260 Remington in the near future. After seeing your post, I started wondering about that same problem. So, I took a 260 Rem. round from my girlfriend's 10 Predator Max1 & tried it. At COAL of 2.775" it fit into the magazine with room to spare. I don't know what calber you are planning, So, I don't know if this helps any or not. Idaho-45

idaho is that a factory loaded 260 or reload? I would like the 260 over 6.5x47 lapua which is prolly be going to because I have heard that with my magazine I would have to shove the bullet really deep to feed but if I do that then I will be taking away powder capacity. I will be reloading and I would like to seat the bullet as far or as close as the accuracy dictates.

Woody, sorry, I failed to mention that my FV is currently chambered in 22-250, same as yours. That's why I jumped in here. Guess I should have been more clear . The 260 round I tried was actually a handload I put together for my girlfriend's 10 Predator Max 1. Idaho-45
