I recently was given a model 65M that had a rust covered barrel held on to a grey weatherbeaten stock with duct tape This poor gun had seen a lot of abuse

After rebluing the barrel and painting the stock camo it looks like a different gun. I was shocked to find on my first trip to the range that it will still shoot dime size groups at 25 yards I havent tried it at longer distances yet but I'm sure it will do well. You can bet that I will be looking for more old Savages
