243 win loads in your max 1 predator

What loads have you shot in your max1 predator that have worked really well? I'm not too concerned about any other rifle just that one

Start with an 85g Sierra HPBT and 35g of IMR4064 and go from there. I hit a node at 37g.

85 Sierra Gameking, BTHP, 36.00 IMR 3031, shoots great in every .243 I have tried. Me and the wife have killed a truck load of deer, from 40-400 yds. In handloader magazine 2 years ago, this exact load was listed as the ultimate whitetail and antelop round by Brian Pearce.

what do you want to shoot? I have worked up loads using 55gr NBT for coyotes to 105 Amax for long range steel in 3 rifles like yours.
Have worked with several bullets in between.
BE specific with you bullet choice and I'll bet somone can help you with a starting place.

I'd like anything 95gr or 105gr. With the 105's do they ever go unstable?

I have a 10 series not the max hunter but in 243 and it loves 75 sierra HPs with IMR 4350 shoots good groups (as good as I can shoot) and makes a mess of ground hogs and coyotes

Blue avenger this thread is a perfect example of what I didn't want to happen.....people put forth ever load under the sun EXCEPT what you asked for input on. I'm shooting a predator max 1 chambered in 243w. All I care about is 95 or 105 grain and what has shot well out of that specific rifle......what I get is everything else.

Then specify the bullet you intend to use before you complain about answers given before you did.

And your rifle uses the same barrel and action as any number of other .243 Savages.

The only way to know which load will shoot out of your specific rifle is for you to load for and shoot your specific example of the rifle.

Like stated before you didn't exactly list which bullet you were interesed in shooting and unless I'm mistaken the Max1 ( which is so special ) has the same twist rate as my model 10 so Good Luck with your search

Seems pretty likely inasmuch as the camo-painted 'predator hunter' IS a model ten. LOL (toward the OP)!
