    Dick's Special 10T in .308 cut down to 18" and threaded dropped in an HS Precision stock. I'm itching to swap into a 260 barrel and I think a CDI bottom metal setup would be sweet on her. I also have a Vortex 6-24 I plan on mounting in some lightweight rings to save some on weight.

    Here's my new/old 6.5 Creedmoor model 12 Benchrest rifle

    Old because I've had it a couple months and have shown it here, and new because it's sporting its new Shilen Stainless Select Match 28" barrel.


    With NF 5-20 scope.


    Took this firsttimer only about an hour with the tools purchased from Northland SS.
    Long-time shootist and reloadist; VERY-happily-retired accountant.

    This is my Savage "Tactical" that started out as a simple 10T purchased on sale from Cabela's.




    A five shot warm-up:



    A 15 shot string:



    Distance was only 100 yards but the wind was a full value 12 mph @ 90 degrees.

    My first stage of the build. Savage axis .243 heavy barrel with a letherwood 6-24 scope with anti cant bubble level on the rail, a homemade cheek riser, and a rockite reinforced forend.

    I have my wife's Bushnell Elite Tactical on it now, still need to buy a scope. :)
