Here's my Savage with stock painted OD

And as of now, painted stock in khaki and my larger can on the nose. Still looking for good scope to mount on, drooling on S&B stand at the gunshow didn't help a thing :D

I'm thinking hard about a Manners (for my 110 30-06) as well. What, in your opinion, are the main advantages of the Manners as opposed to McMillan

I think he was giving me crap, as I sold him that T2 to switch to an A5.

Having previously and now again currently owning both a T2 and A5...they are both super nice stocks and I am happy with both. The palm swell on the T2 is a smidge bigger than the A5, noticeable to me (I have average sized hands) but not really an issue. I've had the opportunity to visit the MCS facility in North Kansas City twice, and their customer service has to be unrivaled in the stock business.

Hard to go wrong with either manufacturer, but Tom Manners is A++++.

Just received my stock today from another member. I need to go to the store as i dont have the right hex key for one of the screws its smaller. When i get back im going to torque it down and then see how well it feeds because looking at my dbm and the aluminum bedding it doesnt look lined up at all but its sitting right where it needs to be and everything dropped right in so far. Im having an issue with my bottom bolt release right now too not sure if its because i wasnt able to screw it all the way in.

Latest rendition. Finally have my competition rig completed... minus the Phantom Suppressor that is still being held hostage. Currently sitting at 23", but will be chopped back to 18.5" soon. It just feels great, like an extension... just as it should be.

Hello folks- long time Savage owner- first post!

I got my first savage years ago when I had an SKS that I hated! I managed to get a new one in box after pestering the guy who sold it to me since mine did not feed properly..so I went to my nearest pawn shop and traded it for my Savage 300! I have shot 1k steel with 150gr remington cor-lok cheap hunting ammo! it likes 175gr handloads though.

    300 Win mag
    SSS stock

hack trigger job on the pre-accutrigger(safe is broken and I cant seem to fix it) --it is the NICEST trigger I have ever pulled and yes, its safe-over 2k round through it easily, drop test ect
    Bushnell elite 6500 6-30x50 tactical
    Vortex bubble level
    EGW rail
    Harris notched leg swivel bipod
    Limbsaver pad that REALLY helps

Just picked this up-- Took it to the range and it groups very tight at 500 yrd WITH TULAMMO STEEL! I Love it--hit a clay pigeon at 500 yards after confirming a tight group with cheap steel!

    308 20'' bull barrel Savage
    HS precision stock
    Nikon 5-16x50 Tactical
Blackhawk bipod that will be replaced by a Harris
    Dark Eagle 10rd mags
    Oversized tactical knob
    EGW rail
Custom modded noodle cheek piece under the pouch and my favorite knife lol

    And for fun

You can check my signature for most of the details. Prairie Dog babysitter... made 'em take nap time at 607 yards on Saturday.

    DK

Got her back from the gunsmith today, after having her chopped to 18". Took her out to check velocities, and only lost 120fps average. She is now averaging 2750, and still stabilizes the 105s perfectly. Made my changes in my ballistic calculator, and nailed my target on the 1st shot at 660 yards. Needless to say, I am extremely happy with the results. Nice and light, and easy to handle. Now, if only my suppressor will get here!! Tick, tick, tick...

I built this specifically for tactical matches, but I'll probably never actually shoot in one!

    Specs:
    -Left hand action
    -Mcree Chassis (no shoulder stock)
-19" McGowen Varmint contour 260 Rem barrel
-Killer Innovations Muzzle brake (This is the best brake I've ever shot on one of these pistols!)
-MDT polymer mag. I'm super cheap and thought I'd give one of these a try. It works great but limits OAL to under 2.800"

The idea with this was to run a pistol in rifle matches, but still be able to have a fast follow up shot. For a right handed shooter, the left hand action lets me cycle the bolt without removing my trigger hand from the grip. It's incredibly fast once you get the hang of it.
