    Which ring height?


    Just bought a Savage 12FV .22-250

    Ordering a Mueller 8.5-25x44, Burris XTR 2-piece scope base, Burris Signature Zee Rings

    Not sure which height rings to get med or high? I will also be using the butler Creek flip up covers.

    Can you explaning how I figure it out or tell me which ones to order please.

    Medium at the highest. The 44mm objective on the scope won&#39;t touch the barrel. The low rings would probably work just as well but without trying it you can&#39;t tell.

    I put a scope with a 50mm objective lense on a LRPV with Burris two piece turnout bases and Burris 30mm signature rings, Medium,and my scope bell clears the barrel by a scant 3/16".Can&#39;t get the factory scope covers on.With the 44mm objective ,I would guess the low rings would be fine,but you need to consider comb higth as well.I must cheek the gun hard to get a full view in the scope.
