Rare Savage model 22 .22 rimfire

I am fairly certain that I have a model 22 savage. I am looking for any information that can help me confirm this. Gun has a bolt similar to a model 19 , and a stock similar to a model 23AA with a schnabel forend. There is no serial # on the gun that I can find. There is no model designation on the gun. It has checkering on the forearm and pistol grip, I do not know if this is factory or someone added it. It also has had military style sling swivels added to it. Any and all help identifying this would be greatly appeciated.
    Thanks,

Sounds like a 1922, pull the bolt out and you should find a serial number at the back of the receiver.

    No, checkering would be aftermarket.
    Savage- "never say never".
