    converting 243 to 223 questions

What parts exactly will i need? It is a staggerfeed? I already have go/no go guages and tools. Just asking mainly about bolt and magazine parts. Thanks

I will assume your staggerfeed bolt has the small firing pin hole. You will need a complete .223 bolt head , staggerfeed 223 short action magazine box and follower. You may also want the longer front bolt bafflel to go behind the bolt head to shorten bolt travel for the shorter 223 cartridge. Midway is usually where I look online first. Search "Savage 223 "magazine, follower and bolt head". The bolt head is not complete, so you will also need to order the ejector pin, ejector retainer pin and spring. The bolt head usually comes with the extractor, ball and spring installed. But you may want to pick up a spare set for your field repair kit. Brownell's and SSS are my next stop, since it always seems one part or another is always out of stock at Midway.
